Quad 44 Pre Amplifier Sought After Late Charcoal Grey Model + 500 Upgrades. I purchased this, and as most people understand, due to the age of these pre amps, they generally need capacitors replacing and servicing. I went the full hog with this one and had the Red Hill Audio stage 3 upgrade done during the service. This cost 500. It totally transformed the pre amp. You will see from the pictures that it has an external power supply that is part of the upgrade. Just around lock down, I sent all my quad equipment to Amplabs electronics, and it came back with a clean bill of health. It required no work. He did some work on my other items. Excellent service! I have hung on to this as it sounds great, but I dont use it. I have decided to let someone else enjoy it and move it on. Its fully tested and in good working condition.

A classic Quad 44 pre-amplifier which I was going to use in a second system but had a change of plan. The amplifier is in very good condition with some light wear to volume dial and tilt switches as pictured and some paint loss to the metal cover. These obviously have no effect on the operation of the amplifier. It is working really well and has a very good phono stage.I am also selling my quad 306 power amplifier which is a great match.
