The only problem it has, and I have taken it apartnumerous times to try and fix it, is the draw gets stuck half way when going out. It requires a gentle tug and it will continue. On the way back in , no problem. Just when opening. I have lithium greased the transport but this made no difference. I have taken this apart so many times now, I cannot fathom what is catching on the way out and not on the way back in. Anyways.... Other servicing done to the unit is as follows. -Lithium greasing of the transport system. -Belts replaced on the turntable, Draw mechanism and the drive belt for the tone arm. -Re-capping of the main power board. Please note, make sure, if you purchase this, to connect the EARTH wire to your amplifier on the earthing point, or you will hear a buzzing over your record. The only problem this unit has , is the draw getting stuck on the way out... it only requires a gentle pull and it is not worth keep on opening it up to try to fix something that is not worth doing. As well as running the risk of breaking it. So if I was you, I would just use it as it is. It plays well, automatically finds the record and tracks well. Vintage Realistic LAB-1600 Linear Tracking Automatic Turntable. Needs service. The unit powers on and the motor hums. The drawer was opening and closing but now is not responding. The turntable was also spinning but is not responding as well. Some cosmetic scratches and wear. Needle is an Audio-Technica. Looking inside the unit it seems like the gears are gummed up with grease. Belt is in good condition.
