Kyocera R-461 Receiver (((((Part or Repair))) ***PLEASE READ*** I am selling this AMP / Receiver for Parts or repair Because of its Age I listened to the R-461 for over two hours, which is very unusual for me, I kept going back and fourth, keep or sell in my mind,I can not remember, listening to a receiver that is so clean and accurate, I was using JBL Control 25, not the best speaker, but the R-461 took them to another level, wow!!! Amazing 80s Japanese Receiver with phono stageTested. Very nice physical and working condition. The R-461 uses potentiometers rather than slider like it’s brethren. Kyoceras’ THING? They used high quality electronic components in their build. Like the ones we would pay top dollar to have installed in your rig today as an upgrade. My take away from this unit?Clean. Open. Decent amount of air. Great sound stage. But it’s all about attack. The initial sound of stick hitting drum. It’s there in spades. 55 watts per channel more like 70. It is a Rock and Roll amp and your sitting up close. 55 watts per channel more like 70. I put some neutral speakers on it and it passed the testBest served by a 8” or 10” 2 way. Like a Trio LS-10 or a JBL Decade 16. Phono stage is premium, though this line of Kyocera products were introduced for the advent of cds. They made excellent cd players. I have the 611 for sale as well, And the 601 cassette. This is the gateway to actual HiFi.
