Vintage 1991 KENWOOD KX-5530 HX Pro Dolby B-C Stereo Cassette Deck Made in JAPAN Vintage high end Kenwood single auto-reverse tape deck in good pre-owned condition. It has been fully tested and both plays and records tape. Sounds great. I dont know the age or condition of the belts and I have not cleaned the heads. There are a few very minor scratches on the top side. Made in Japan model that features both Dolby B and C and HX Pro NR. Please see pictures of the actual item(s) for a better idea of condition. This cassette deck is in working condition as far as I can tell. It plays well, rewind, fast forward etc. The recording function has not been tested. The power button is missing, however I have had it plugged into a switched power outlet on my receiver, and have had no issues. There are some scratches as pictured. Being sold As Is, due to age and the unknown condition of the belts.

This Kenwood KX-5530 Auto-Reverse Stereo Cassette Deck was considered a higher-end deck in 1992, with Dolby B and C along with HXPro (headroom extension to improve overall fidelity of recordings). I had two of these, and the prior one sold about a month ago. The buyer loves it. Im selling the second one now, where I had done similar work. Its a winner! The following service has been performed:-- Replaced drive belt-- Replaced both pinch rollers-- Cleaned and lubricated-- Calibrated motor speed (3kHz)-- Calibrated head azimuth with a reference tape and an oscilloscope Also, and you wont see this on the stock KX-5530, I added a cassette compartment light, because with no light inside it was difficult to see the tape advancing. With the light, you can see to clean the heads, transport, and pinch rollers. You can also see the tape advancing. This is a feature that appeared on higher-end decks, and sadly it was missing from this line of Kenwood cassette decks. See pictures and video. Please ask questions before you purchase. Die Mechanik funktioniert, Soundausgabe konnte ich nicht prüfen. Die Farbunterschiede auf dem Bildern kommen vom Abwischen.
