This Krell SACD Standard player has been recently serviced in November 2023 and comes with a new optical pickup, belts, and PCB. It is a high-quality SACD player that can play various media formats such as MPEG-4, CD, CDA, WMV, GIF, FLAC, WMA, WAV, MP4, MP3, MP5, CD-R, and CD-RW. The player also features stereo L/R RCA and XLR audio outputs for excellent sound quality. Item was recently service with a new optical lens, three belts full service inspection lube, adjustments and cleaning by Adams electronics. Work was completed November 2023. The unit functions as it should hopefully with this fresh service it will be hassle free or sometime.. while the technician has confirmed both CD and SACD’s play. The display does not register and turn on the essay see the light. It defaults to CD. This is an anomaly with the SACD controller board. The board does recognize SACD what does not registered to the display. Up for sale is this silver KRELL SACD STANDARD MARK III player. The cabinet is in pristine condition--no scratches, chips, dents, stains, etc.--excellent plus condition all around. However, two weeks ago it stopped powering up. Rather than have it looked at and worked on by Krell or a private technician, Ive decided to replace it with a comparable, high-end SACD player, which will cost me many thousands more than, I suspect, it would cost to repair this one. Foolish, probably, on my end, but there you are. This one has served me well and was still working fine very recently, so Im thinking a repair would not be much to accomplish by someone whos up for it. Ive decided to pass it on to someone with the know-how, or willing to invest in a repair, or with a need for parts. The MARK III was a significant upgrade over the SACD Standard, so please only compare apples and apples. Ill ship this player in its original box (pictured), with a power cord and a Krell remote.
