Krell CD-DSP MKII Krell CD Player And Digital Converter Processor Excellent cosmetic condition. Just beautiful The cd drive no longer works but the digital analog converter does. However, I do not have much experience using it as a a D/A. I tried attaching it to an old Mac Pro with a Toslink cable, the sound was just incredible but the sound kept dropping intermittently. I might not have set it up correctly. I try to upload a video with no success to illustrate the issue. The plastic one had some battery leakage which I tried to show in the photos. Great collector’s piece. Sold as is. Original box and velour plexiglass cover but not the original power cable. I am the original owner, it’s been in the box since the transport stop working. Didn’t think of using it as a processor until now. This is a beautiful Krell CD player with a very Analog sound ! I bought this unit from George Myer :in Los Angeles about 5 years ago. He had totally re-built this unit and the cost was 2 expensive for the owner to afford. I was picking up my KSA 100 S that he recapped for me and he mentioned the DSP, it matched my Krell Pre-amp and Amp. It was a no brainer. I dropped it off with one of my Tube CD players and had him check out my DSP at the same time before I sold it. The sticker is the intake number if you want to check. It has been sitting in my closet for a couple of months, I recently hooked it up and have enjoyed it for the last month. It looks and sounds wonderful (see pictures) I took the High Res pictures outside to let you see how nice it looks! A rare chance to get one of the best Krell CD player IMO ever. Krell CD-DSP with remote just recapped-works great. This can function as a cd player,transport or dac. This is a later revision of the CD-DSP MK1- main difference being later firmware,2 large output caps vs 3 smaller ones in earlier version and the digital inputs are in slightly different order. All inputs and outputs work. Restoration work: Recapped main digital supply with orignal sprague 515Ds,main audio supply with nichicon Muse fine gold, the Nichicon VX series was not recapped due to its outstanding longetivity and lack of a suitable modern replacement. The common to fail caps in the servo board were also replaced with better Nichicons. There was also some work done on inner metal chasis. The front left top screw hole has been filled with JB weld,retapped and repainted. It functions fine but needs to be tightned to just flush with chasis. It cant take being over tightned like the original metal holes. If ever taken apart it should be first screw removed and first put back when putting back together. Great sounding unit.
