Using guitar fretboard wax on the cabinet veneer. I removed the original stands but will replace them. They are represented in the pictures but not re-attached as of yet. I will also include the original magazine ad that I purchased. See the pic of the back of the ad for all the engineering and technical specs/dimensions on these beauties. I prefer local pickup in or near Ogden UT but if you want to pay to have them shipped I can do that. Shipping weight for each boxed speaker will exceed 55 lbs. The cabinets have some scratches and 1 corner took a hit at some point in the last 35 years but from 2’ away they present very well. The grills are in very good condition. I ran the speakers with an Adcom GFA-5400 and they rocked beautifully…and the jazz and classical sounded amazing as well. As you can see from the pics they are 1990 speakers with consecutive serial numbers. They are very nice speakers that have the signature Klipschorn sound and with the refurb they are ready to go for another 35 years! My son and I build custom furniture and do a lot of work using veneers and exotic woods. We are both Audio Nuts. I fell in love with Klipsch speakers in the early 1960s and have loved them since. In the last few years, we have started collecting and storing older speakers from Klipsch, Altec, JBL, and Electro Voice, mostly Klipsch. We plan to repair or replace any defective drivers or crossovers and give the enclosures a cool custom look, but not change any of the great soundAll of the drivers sounded great. Before we started doing the veneer work, we repaired the enclosures and sprayed them in black lacquer. These have been reveneered in Zebrawood. We finished off the enclosures with three coats of pre-catalyzed lacquer from Sherwin Williams, and the crossovers have been recapped.

Im listening to the speakers right now. Everything appears to work well. They seem to have good clarity and commendable bass extension. I dont see any damage to any of the drivers. Cabinets have a little wear. I havent tried removing the tape thats stuck to one of them. The grills are magnetic and seem to be in decent shape. For local pickup only.
