KLH Model 11 Turntable It has been tested in manual and it works, when trying the auto function the unit slows down due to stiffness in the tone arm mechanisms probably due to old lubrication. The unit needs to be serviced. KLH Model Eleven Suitcase Stereofor restoration This was the coolest portable stereo in the 1960s, weighing in at nearly 30 pounds! This Henry Kloss designed stereo is about 60 years old and it shows. Untested, it really needs to be electically and mechanically refurbished before its played. Here are the known issues (and please refer to the photos):One speaker driver is looseOne of the latch studs on the bottom is missingLong spindle is missingThe vinyl coating is cracked in a few places--please see the photosA previous owned added a headphone jack and switchThere may be other hidden issuesThe good news is, this is complete except for the spindle and stud. The proprietary power cord is included. This should be a good restoration project if you know what youre doing. When I bought it about 17 years ago it was described as working but just barely. I never got around to the restoration. Shipping is expensive. The unit will weigh over 30 pounds when packed up.
