For sale is a very rare pair of 12 / 30 cm field coil cinema speakers produced in the late 30s by Siemens. These speakers look nearly identical as the Klangfilm cinema speakers type KL42006. I compared these speakers with the Klangfilm KL42006, and the sound is absolute similar. These Siemens speakers have even little better low frequency range as the KL42006 because the centring - phenolic suspension is installed in form a spider under the paper cone (membrane), and in this case the hub of the membrane is bigger as in the KL42006. The diameter of the basket is exactly 30 cm / 12.The DC resistance of the both voice coil is about 11,3 Ohm, and the impedance is 15 Ohm. The field coil DC resistance is about 950 Ohm. The voice coils move absolutely free on the core without any troubles. They need a supplying voltage about 90 - 110 V each. In case of supplying a pair with one power supply, the both field coils must be connected serially, and in this case the needed supply voltage must be DC 180 - 220 V. Optional I offer a DC power supply with output voltage about 200 V. In this case both field coils must be connected serially. The speakers are in very good working condition according to the age. The paper cones are in very good technical and optical condition. Only one cone had a small tear on the surround area, what has been professional repaired (check the photo for details). This have not any influence of the sound reproduction and is only an optical flaw The both speakers sound very clear with very good efficiency, and with very good frequency response.
