I was the original buyer of this Kenwood VR-4900 receiver, a special Fathers Day gift I gave to my late father, who I now deeply miss. I bought this for him sometime at the beginning of the millennium to show my love and appreciation. As an audiophile like me, he was thrilled to receive such a sophisticated piece of audio equipment. I also wanted him to finally retire his old Kenwood KR-100, a receiver he purchased after returning from the Vietnam War. While this listing is for the VR-4900, the KR-100 may also be up for auction someday, once I manage to set my sentimental emotions aside. The side panels have minor scuffs from being placed in an audio cabinet, but overall, it looks practically brand new. The only minor defect is with the Speaker A terminals—two of the bottom black speaker posts have some plastic base damage, likely due to my father using thicker speaker wire than the posts were designed to handle. The remote shows some noticeable wear and tear from my late fathers use, particularly as he aged. There was minor battery corrosion that has been meticulously cleaned. Kenwood Sovereign DV-5900M 400+3 Disc Changer DVD Audio VCD CD Player Works VTG. Unit shows scuffs and scratches. Has a dent on the top vent as shown. Plays fine, flips between discs with no problem.

Plays movies and CDs, remote works too. What doesnt work is the rotation at certain points. If you keep the door open and push the rotating CD carousel when it gets stuck this player works great.
