Kenwood KX-W4040 Stereo Cassette Deck Recorder Dubbing - Tested FOR PARTS REPAIR The deck is in good condition physically. There is some paint over-spray on the top of the unit. The deck powers on, but none of the playback, record, fast forward or rewind work on either deck. The mechanisms inside sound like they are engaging and trying to function properly. Due to the devices age, all of the belts have likely degraded to the point of failure which would cause all playback/recording functions to not work. See pictures for details.

If you get to read this description today might be your lucky day!! It seems like everything is working, but I don’t even understand how this machine works or what it’s supposed to do. If I put a cassette in it it seems to go forward and backward? I don’t know but same results on both sides. Selling for parts but might be fully functional! After a week I’m just gonna toss this
