Selling a duplicate receiver in my collection. This is one of my favorites due to the great vacuum fluorescent display (VFD). They don’t make them like they did in the late 80s! I bought this and had to replace the display as it was broken. I replaced the display in this unit from a Kenwood KR-126V parts unit, so the Surround does not have multiple modes. Only affects the surround and no other functions. 15WPC surround works fine but only has one mode. This receiver is incredibly powerful, compact, and full featured. To me, it’s a real sleeper unit because I don’t think Kenwood got the credit they should have for this. I’m an electronics hobbyist and the unit has been thoroughly cleaned (display, internals, tight spaces). I have also reflowed the solder on a number of points that are known to fail over time. I can’t find a single thing wrong with this unit, it has been a great performer in my collection for the last few years. Check out the video below. You’re going to have to cut and paste it into your browser, but the equalizer is second to none. Has lots of presets. The FM tuner allows you to actually program radio station call letters in. No remote control. Has a phono input. speaker impedance switch on the back so this will go down to support multiple pairs at lower ohms. I only sell exceptional electronics, and this is one of them.
