The arm lift worked properly, and the mechanism that automatically raised the arm when the music ended also worked properly. The adhesive between the screw part of one of the four legs (insulators) and the pedestal has come off, and the pedestal will come off when you lift it up. Up for sale, a Kenwood KP-770D quartz lock direct drive straight arm turntable (100v version of KD-770D*) equipped with a Stanton 681 with almost new D6800 aftermarket stylus. This unit is working and sounds fantastic with this cartridge and stylus. Quartz lock engages within 2 seconds of turning on or switching between 33 & 45 rpm. Rock steady and solid at both 33 and 45. Cuing up and down works as it should. I am reducing price as autolift at end of record does not engage. Probably an easy fix, I’m not sure, honestly. Dust cover is in VG condition with only slight scuffs and minor scratches, is still very transparent. Also comes with the original owners manual in Japanese, but that can be translated using Google lens. If you have any other questions please ask before buying. * - The KP series turntables are Japanese Domestic Products therefore run at 100v rather than 110 or 120v like here in US. While turntable will work at 120v and work well a step down transformer is recommended for continued use. A 100w stepdown transformer is cheap, around $20-$30 on Amazon or eBay. 100w is plenty even at peak since a turntable usually runs well under 20w. For sale one vintage Kenwood KP-770D Direct-drive quartz lock turntable in very good condition and working order. Quartz PLL core-less and slotless DC servo motor. Semi-automatic, the tonearm will lift at the end of the record and the platter will stop. This turntable runs on 100V so a step-down transformer is required. Also included is the Sumiko Blue Point No.3 moving coil cartridge and an extra headshell for easy cartridge swapping if you have more than one cartridge. These headshell is very hard to find. Cartridge is in very good condition.Packaging is not original but will be well packed to avoid damage in shipping.
