Kenwood KM-206 power amplifier 300 Watts RMS, fully re-capped and tested, VG. Cond. This 300-Watt RMS Kenwood KM-206 power amplifier is in mint operating condition and very good cosmetic condition. It was produced until 1987 and had a retail price of $350.00. It features a large E-I core power transformer and two 10,000uF/100 Volt filter capacitors totaling 20,000uF, with B voltages of +- 76.0 Volts, at warm idle. All of the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, including the main filter capacitors, as well as the speaker protection relay. Generous internal heat-sinking of the output devices allow for cool operation, even with difficult loads. The 1st stage and 2nd stages employ differential pairs. The front panel includes LED power meters, a power switch, A-B speaker switches, meter range selector switch and a headphone jack. The rear apron has 8 push-type speaker terminals, 2 RCA input jacks and a three 120Volt AC convenience outlets. The unit measures 16.625W x 10.625D x 4.8H and weighs 18.5lb, unboxed (approximately 22lb, boxed appropriately). Into an 8? non-inductive test load, better than 162.0 Watts per channel are available from 20Hz to well beyond 40kHz, with both channels driven. New incandescent lamps installed for front panel lighting. Unit was cleaned up and amp adjusted per service manual without issue. Solder joints checked and touched up where necessary. Ready to Plug and Pump, just needs a Pre-Amp. Overall it is Good Shape, bezel has a slightly dinged corner top and bottom edge right with a couple more Knicks on top and some misc scratches on the right cabinet side. Its all in very good condition overall, only slightly dusty. Only the remote is cracked and damaged but works and is necessary for higher volumes.
