This 300-Watt RMS Kenwood KM-205 power amplifier is in mint operating condition and very good cosmetic condition. It was produced until 1987 and had a retail price of $350.00. It features a large E-I core power transformer with B voltages of +- 76.0 Volts, at warm idle. All of the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, including the main filter capacitors, as well as the speaker protection relay. Generous internal heat-sinking of the output devices allow for cool operation, even with difficult loads. The 1st stage and 2nd stages employ differential pairs. The front panel includes LED power meters, a power switch, A-B speaker switches, meter range selector switch and a headphone jack. The rear apron has 8 push-type speaker terminals, 2 RCA input jacks and a three 120Volt AC convenience outlets. The unit measures 16.625W x 10.625D x 4.8H and weighs 18.5lb, unboxed (approximately 22lb, boxed appropriately). Into an 8? non-inductive test load, better than 162.0 Watts per channel are available from 20Hz to well beyond 40kHz, with both channels driven. Into a 4? load better than 193.2 Watts per channel are available from 20Hz-60kHz. The power output ratings are obviously quite conservative. Cosmetically, the amp is very good, with only some vestigial signs of use on the front panel and the metal cover. I bought this unit about 1 year ago, and have used it as a part of my large collection of vintage solid-state audio components. Hi, you are looking at a Kenwood stereo system setup including a Double Cassette Deck KX-96W, Synthesizer Tuner KT-76, Control Amplifier KC-206, and Power Amplifier KM-205. Also included is the Control Amplifier remote and system connections manual. Everything has been tested and there doesnt appear to be any issues. Its all in very good condition overall, only slightly dusty. Only the remote is cracked and damaged but works and is necessary for higher volumes. Everything can be set up properly and easily using the manual. All necessary cords are also included. I will combine shipping on multiple items when possible. This was once hooked up to a KC-105 Stereo Control EQ, but that is not working (will be sold in a separate auction). I hooked speakers up to speakers, along with music though the input. Although my speakers are not the best, it produced great sound. This is all the testing I have done. Please let me know if you would like any additional testing done. Cosmetically it is in great condition. I do have the original box, along with the original Styrofoam packing. I will overbox it to ensure safe delivery. Only the receiver is included.
