Offering this highly regarded, absolutely classic amplifier. Kenwood KA-6000 Integrated Amplifier. Conservatively rated at 45 watts per channel into 8 ohms. This was Kenwood’s Top of the Line Integrated offered in the United States at the time. The X000 line was the first of the Silver Faced stereo components offered by Kenwood. This Kenwood KA-6000 exhibits a wonderfully detailed and warm sound, reminiscent of a quality vintage tube amplifier. Definitely has more than enough power to play medium to high efficiency speakers to a loud level in a typically sized listening room in a home. This Amplifier has been Thoroughly Refurbished By Dan Horton Audio Restorations in Salem Oregon New Transistors New Capacitors New Resistors Power Supply has new Diodes, Resistors, Capacitors, and Transistors Power Supply has new upgraded Filter Capacitors as welll. This Amp is over 50 years old. NO RETURNS on this item. It is working well for me, here, but I cannot guarantee its lifespan. 1969 Kenwood KA-6000 Stereo Amplifier This unit looks great. See the many photos I took. The various knobs are kind of dirty and could use cleaning, but they gleam pretty well as shown in the photos. Please see the photos. THAT is the unit that you are buying. I got a solid sound through my speakers, both Speakers A & B and left and right. Connecting my home theater receiver to this units Tape Out, the CD player audio (Aux in) was passed through this AMP without interruption, even with power off, as it should be. It sounded fine on my AV receiver. See the unusual inputs on this amp! It has Phono 1 and Phono 2. Phono 2 is for todays modern magnetic cartridges. Phono 1 has a rotary knob that lets you select signal sensitivity for various other cartridge types. SEE that downloadable manual for details. ALSO included is an input accepting output from a tape play head; bypassing the tape players signal processing. The Owners Manual and a schematic diagram are available for free download from HiFiEngines.com This guy is heavy! It weighs just under 26 pounds. I have it carton packed for shipment via UPS Ground.
