Has been tested to the best of my abilities as I do not have a TV or speakers to test it with, however, the unit does turn on, it makes a strange whirring sound in intervals whenever it is powered on, and I can not get the disc tray to open. There are no marks or scratches on this CD player, however there is some fading of the words on some of the buttons, however this is purely cosmetic and you can still make out what they say.
