Kenwood 700C Preamplifier. Excellent cosmetics. Works well. Exceptional sound quality. Probably the finest preamplifier Kenwood ever made. Weighs 23lbs. Measures: 17 wide x 14 deep x 6 tall. In the last year the following restorative work was performed; All seven boards were recapped. All capacitors used were Nichicon audio grade. All problematic 2SC1451 transistors were replaced/upgraded. Power supply was calibrated and relay replaced. The Loudness control does not work. Everything else does. The original pot had failed, and direct replacements havent been available for many years. The best replacement that could be found enables everything else to work except the loudness function. The quality of this setup should negate the need for a loudness function. Please check my feedback,my stereo equipment is always accurately and honestly described and always gets positive reviews. This offering is for a Kenwood Supreme Series 700M Power Amplifier and the Companion Preamplifier Kenwood 700C. The Kenwood 700M is rated at 170 watts per channel into 8 ohms. This amplifier has been rebuilt. New capacitors, resistors, and transistors. All new output transistors as well. New power supply filter caps have been upgraded. All controls have been cleaned and lubricated. Blue LEDs have been installed in the VU meters. This amplifier truly sounds wonderful. Obviously very powerful with a tremendous low end. This amp is simply fantastic. Cosmetically, the amplifier does have some scuffs and scratches. Maybe 7 out of 10(?). Please observe all photos in order to determine condition. The 700C preamplifier has been serviced with the controls switches, and connections cleaned and lubricated where necessary. Preamplifier sounds great as well. All functions work and inputs and outputs are all functional. Like the amplifier, the preamplifier has a fair amount of scuffs and scratches. I would rate the cosmetics a 7 out of 10 as well. Alle Bedienelemente und Funktionen funktionieren einwandfrei, die Klangqualität auf beiden Kanälen ist tadellos. Die Frontplatte aus gebürstetem Aluminium mit Beschriftung ist in perfektem Zustand. Die Lautstärke- und Balanceknöpfe haben leichte Haarkratzer. Die obere Abdeckung und die Rückseite sind ebenfalls nahezu makellos, mit kaum sichtbaren Gebrauchsspuren. Rare Japanese model with Deprez instruments, soft warm but powerful and detailed sound. All controls and functions work flawlessly, sound quality on both channels is impeccable. The brushed aluminium front panel with inscriptions is in perfect condition. The volume and balance knobs have light hairline scratches. The top cover and back panel are also virtually flawless, with barely visible signs of use. Apart from the brand new japenese Sanken power transistors and drivers, and the original instrument lights and fuses, the interior is completely original with no visible signs of repair. The potentiometers and switches are not contact defective and work fine. The original UK plug has been replaced with an EU standard one. Advertised elsewhere also. THE 700C PREAMP HAS HAD A PREVIOUS FULL RESTORATION WITH MANY CAPS AND PARTS REPLACED, I HAVE A LETTER FROM THE TECH WHO DID THE WORK DESCRIBING WHAT WAS DONE AND WAS JUST RECENTLY SERVICED FOR A CHECK UP. THE WOOD CABINETS FOR THE TUNER AND POWER AMP ARE ORIGINAL AND HAVE BEEN REFINISHED. THE 700C WOOD CABINET IS A CUSTOM WALNUT VENEER COPY OF THE TUNERS CABINET EXCEPT WITH BETTER MATERIALS AND NO TOP VENT HOLES. VERY NICE COSMETIC CONDITION AND ALL WORKS AS IT SHOULD.
