UPDATE: Initially this unit was listed as parts or repair because the arm was not moving properly however the point of failure has been located. An RPM reduction gear was cracked (see last photo). I have sourced a replacement and will be installed before the unit ships. Rather than end the auction early, I have extended the handling time to 15 days to ensure there is adequate time to replace the reduction gear and carefully pack the cleaner. This unit sat unused for at least a decade and should be considered a project. It will need a good cleaning before it is showroom floor ready. A general cleaning was conducted. Vintage machine is in overall very good condition for age. Most of the tubes have been replaced, both platters spin, vacuum pump works how it should. Vacuum arm motor works properly. The physical condition is very good for a vintage item. The optional dustcover is in very good condition and has no cracks. It also includes the original paperwork and brochures. I am selling my Keith Monks Prodigy record cleaning machine.I bought this from the original owner around a year ago - they had cleaned about 100 records on it and I have cleaned around 50 so it has not had much use.I bought it after cleaning a number of my records on my previous Loricraft PRC4 - I couldnt justify keeping that machine so sold it and bought the Prodigy instead for any future records needing cleaned. The machine is therefore in very good condition as would be expected. It comes with the original Keith Monks cleaning wand as shown in the pictures (not sure if this has even been used as I used a record cleaning brush and so did the previous owner). It also has a spare bit of tubing and 2 spare nozzles as shown in the photos along with the remote control for the lighting which I have never used.I have found the machine has worked extremely well and gives results as good as my previous Loricraft but for less money!!Its a manual machine so the machine is started then you apply fluid - this takes a bit of practise as I sometimes got fluid dripping elsewhere!! I had exactly the same issue with my previous Loricraft too. The arm then gets placed in the centre of the record and a 12 inch record is cleaned in around 2 - 2.5 minutes. It is a bit slower and noisier than the Loricraft but still hugely quieter than any vacuum based machines such as the Pro-ject VCS and, usefully, offers similarly good results - I am told it also offers similar results to the more expensive Keith Monks machines, only just a bit slower.Unfortunately I no longer have the box for this machine. It therefore means cash on collection from my house in Arbroath, Scotland, DD11 postcode area is the only option. It can then be demonstrated working also.Any questions please ask.
