KEF Model 100 Reference Series center speaker crossover. Excellent condition and working order. Bi-wire model SP 2227

You will never see another pair of vintage KEFs like this again. Absolutely mint, like new with all original packaging and literature. There is not a scratch on them. The sound is excellent and comparable to my Falcon LS3/5as that sell for $3500. The KEF 101s have more bass, a fuller sound and a flatter curve yet they have the sweet midrange and treble that these speakers are known for. I am even including a complete recap set from Falcon Acoustics that I recently purchased for over $100. Even though these were not played much, old caps deteriorate and need to be replaced over time if you want proper performance. Falcon Acoustics was founded by Malcom Jones, the man who designed these speakers and the drive units for the famous BBC ls3/5a. I would not be selling these if I didn’t need the money but I recently had to purchase a new car. This is a special opportunity to own amazing speakers in unbelievable condition. I will be double-boxing with styrofoam to protect the original box.

Kef Model 100 Reference series Centre Speaker. Hello, Im selling my Kef Model 100 Reference series centre speaker that Ive owned since new. Having spoken direct to Kef I decided to upgrade to a Kef R2C centre speaker. The R2C is perfectly fine but I can tell you hand-on-heart that I didnt notice any improvement whatsoever over the Model 100. Annoyingly I do not have the original packaging. We did a loft conversion a few years back and unfortunately I got rid of loads of old boxes, which I now regret. Its in great condition and has been lovingly looked after in our smoke-free home. Raymond Cooke special edition Kef reference r104/2 speakers. Due to a house move i sadly do not have enough space for these any more.These are fantastic speakers in excellent condition. Matching serial numbers L and R.The centres of the woofers (doughnuts) were done by Wembley Loudspeakers before I bought them and do not need doing again,and these later versions have rubber instead of foam surrounds which do not disintegrate.I replaced the capacitors in the crossovers with a matched set of Alcaps bought from Falcon Accoustics.I also replaced the ferrofluid in the tweeters.They are AWESOME! They ROCK!Quiet or loud they sound clean and clear,.you will hear details in your music that you never heard before.. Ive had a roomfull of people dancing to these on several occasions- they will go VERY LOUD INDEED without distortion or earache,i guess if you are looking at these you will know how legendary they are.Zoom in on the photo of the brass plaque for more info.Absolutely MEGA speakers! Ive loved them for a few years now and will be sad to see them go. Stunning veneer too if you like that sort of thing, not your usual rosewood or walnut.They arent mint but they arent far off.The dust covers are a little scruffy. and thats about the worst of it. I also Have the correct Kube in working order, shown in the last photo.It works perfectly.ive plugged it in and spent a few hours listening.i remember upgrading a couple of capacitors in it to nichicon gold ones a while back I spent a lot more tha the initial bid here and have never regretted a penny of it.you will not be disappointed.. The plastic surround might be missing off of one of the rear bass ports, not too sure if it was ever there. Makes a good companion to the satellites I have on another listing.
