The internal dual woofers have been reformed and all aligned perfectly. See pics. Access to the drivers are via the back of the speaker terminal plate. The cabinets are in excellent shape. The grills are in good shape with some minor signs of wear. The sound is simply amazing. I’m just downsizing my collection. I am the second owner and they have been well cared for. These were manufactured in 1996 and have the updated crossover and boundary compensation adjustment, then they decided to call them series 2. So although they dont say Series 2, they do have the adjustment screw in the + LF terminal (see pics), System type is 3245 and the XO type is SP2255. (see pic) Both of these were the later versions. A pair of Kef Reference three - two speakers for sale. In perfect working order and overall, in great condition. These are a matched pair and I am the second owner, reason for selling is due to their size - they are just too big for my room. These are finished in the premium Albina Burr wood which was at an additional cost when first purchased. Points to note, there are two small scratches on the side of one cabinet. Also, 2 of the speaker binding posts are bent on one speaker. There is movement in them but I have had no issues and this has had no effect on their performance. The expansive soundstage from these have been described similar to that of electrostatic speakers. Clear highs and the bass is unbelievably deep. A full demo will be provided on collection.
