When I hooked up on its own with out the Citation 12 , to the speaker hook ups on the back right hand side I could not get any sound. Not sure if there is a another way by which to hook this up. This Harman Kardon Citation Eleven Preamplifier is in great condition and was serviced in August of 2023. Any components that were out of spec were replaced with a comparable or superior component.All controls were lubricated and cleaned. As with any vintage piece of audio gear, the controls may still exhibit some mils static when initially powered on. The faceplate was cleaned and polished. The wood cases has a fair amount of scuffs and scratches, but, it has been stained and polished so it looks pretty good. A wonderful sounding preamplifier, built like a tank.
