Linn Kairn Pro Preamplifier upgraded with Linn Brilliant power supply. Boxed and in excellent cosmetic condition but sold as for repair as there is a burning electronics smell when switched on which Im told occurs just before power supply failure so please assume not working. Linn Kairn MM/MC Preamplifier Serviced. This Linn Kairn has provided years of excellent service, reason for sale due to changing direction to a one box setup. It was recently serviced and capacitors replaced along with the front panel memory cell battery, these often leak destroying the front PCB, they are recommended to be replaced every 10 years. The power supply was also replaced to the more modern upgraded slimline Brilliant. SMPS I had this along with a LP12 and LK100 into Linn Kans and it’s still up there with the very best. Condition is very good although there are a couple of marks on the top that can hopefully seen in the pictures. I also have the original remote control ( which sell for around £90 on this platform) and the original owners manual. Linn Kairn Pro Preamp - Slimline Power Supply, Serviced, boxed. Late model Linn Kairn Pro preamplifier (line version) fitted with the later slimline power supply which is the best sounding and most reliable version. The amplifier is in overall very good condition with only some light surface marks on the top and is fully operational with a very bright screen. It benefits from a recent service with the logic circuit battery being replaced. Superb sounding preamp with an organic, musical sound that strikes a perfect balance between musicality and detail retrieval. One of Linn’s best ever products.
