Der K 530 ist als dynamischer offener, ohrumschließender Kopfhörer konzipiert. Geräusche, die von außen kommen, können also noch wahrgenommen werden durch diese Art der Bauweise, wenn man es mit dem Hörpegel nicht übertreibt. Das mitgelieferte Kabel weist eine Länge von 3 Metern auf, was, wie wir es von den meisten Kopfhörern gewohnt sind, nicht überdurchschnittlich viel ist. Der Nennwiderstand liegt bei 55 Ohm, dies sorgt für flexible Einsatzmöglichkeiten: Auch mit schwächeren Kopfhörerverstärkern z.B. in portablen Geräten wie MP3-Playern kommt der K 530 ohne Schwierigkeiten zurecht.
