It could probably use a service considering its age, but I would use it as it is. The display occasionally in a couple spots goes on and off. Most likely a cold soldier joint on the display board. No remote. (I use my universal remote with this receiver and it controls most of the needed functions. I really dont see a need for the original remote. Thats my opinion of course.)
