The main advantage with linear tracking tables is the lack of inner groove distortion. Record masters are cut in a linear fashion, so reading them the same way is clearly an advantage compared to pivoting tone arms that are only accurately reading the groove at two points on the record. This TT works perfectly and sounds like it had a new stylus installed yesterday. The dust cover hinges are replacements and I could only find a pair that go on the silver models. I was lucky to find them. They function perfectly. Everything does. You will NOT be disappointed!I know how to pack these TTs. Double boxed and ready for the handlers. This TT also boasts the Compulink component system feature. Compulink allows a JVC receiver or preamp to communicate with other JVC equipment, according to JVCs website. Basically just links them all together, and you control them with one remote.
