The Juicy Music Merlin is a very highly praised unit, with almost mythical status. Some online call it the best sounding pre-amp ever designed, bar none. This example is in near mint condition, and functions perfectly. I obtained it from its original owner, and am sadly having to part with it due to needing to downsize my collection. Tubes look excellent, as do capacitors; no signs of leaking or swelling that I could see. This unit has been extensively tested for proper operation and I can say it wholeheartedly deserves its reputation. Paired with a McCormack DNA-125 and Legacy Classic’s, the sound is nothing short of captivating. The unit also includes a custom 3D printed “shipping protector”, which indexes onto the bolts on the mounting face of the preamp to protect the knobs during shipping, since the original box and foam shipping inserts aren’t present.
