I am offering rare pair of Jorgen Schou step up transformers Type 0,32M No. 251 designed by this outstanding engineer for Ortofon SPU moving coil cartridge. Input impendance is 1,5 ohm only (to match old SPU well) and output is 200 kohm. Ratio is amazing 1: 365. Impossible to make these days and I was wondering how it was made. A mystery and craftmanship of the golden era of audio. Your preamp needs to have input with impendance higher than 200k, preferably 500k or 1M to work really well. They belonged to my friend who asked me to sell them. Transformers are wired and coming with metal box holding connectors and matching cables. Please reda my feedback since 25 years on Ebay with 100% positive feedback. Ive been collecting rare vintage HiFi equipment during all theese years. This is a 100% working item. In my opinion its one of the nicest looking Jörgen Schout SUTs Ive seen. At one occasion I had to replace two of the internal leads that were very short, and make a new soldering. Its not the best professional work Ive seen, but it works (see one of the pictures).The leads are very thin and sensitive, and has of course been affected during all theese years. I will make a very strong package, with double boxes, to avoid all damages during the transport. But of course anything can happen with this sensitive piece, with vibrations during transport. But then, its fairly easy to fix if You open the backside. And it should be very easy to locate any faults with the leads/wires. It is sold as is with this description. No returns. Als: Its very important to the grounding right to avoid hum. The best solution is probably to have wires connected with both the turntable chassis and the amp ground screw. I will put a low starting bid level and no reserve price,. It will of course be sent with insurance and tracking/signed for.
