Joey Roth is an industrial designer that designed/produced these speakers back in 2013. I got this set from his first production batch. The sub and speakers are white ceramic. The speakers have a white birch wood base. They include the amp control module, cables, power source, and everything you need to plug them in. You can hook them directly to your computer via the RCA in or from a preamp from your turntable or a WiiM amp or Bluetooth connection. For being 11 years old, theyre in GREAT shape. Google around (Turntable Lab, etc) for a review of what theyre capable of. Im only selling them because we recently moved onto a bigger setup. They sound as good as they did the day I bought them. The ceramic speakers are made from porcelain, cork, and Baltic birch. The ceramic amp is made from stainless steel sheet metal and a steel base.. Besides the electronic components, Roth didnt use plastic at all in the sets construction. Sound-wise: the 4-inch drivers are rated at 15W per channel. The cones contain custom-made drivers, porcelain and cork enclosures, and a Tripath amplifier. The speakers show the difference between lossless and mp3 files, and will unlock vinyl’s richness. The subwoofer blasts a frequency range between: 40 Hz – 200 Hz. If none of that makes any sense, just know that it sounds really good and it can still play music from iPhones, iPads, and other digital music players like tablets, computers, TVs, and turntables.Specs aside, the speaker set looks attractive. All five pieces spark a conversation.Priced to sell. All cables are included. You can hook up a Bluetooth receiver, WiiM amp, Turntable and more to these speakers. Best for desktop use or apartment. Last year, the sub alone sold for $1200 on eBay, so this unit is priced to sell before the Holidays. Have them by Christmas if purchased before December 18th. CONDITIONS: Ask all questions before buying. There is one small chip on the back side of the woofer, it only goes through the upper layer on the porcelain. It came like this when I bought them. There are two small marks on the speakers cone faces. One woofer has some metal rub. And dont expect the porcelain to be perfect. Ive taken all photos of all the surface imperfections. This is the Joey Roth 2.1 set from 2013. Bookshelf subwoofer + 2 speakers. White ceramic bodies with black fabric cone drivers. All in excellent condition. The sub comes with its own D-class 50w amplifier that also serves as its stand, with two 6.5 drivers at both ends of the ceramic barrel. The speakers come with a T-class amplifier and 4 cone speakers. Each speaker has its own birch plywood stand with felt isolators. This auction includes everything that originally came from Joey Roth factory, with original boxes. All original cables from Joey Roth will be included. Originally paid $1095.
