Up for sale is this sweet sounding pair of JBL L20T speakers. I am a huge fan of JBL, and these have that classic JBL sound that you are sure to love. Bright, full, detailed, a fun pair to listen to. The drivers themselves are in top shape... no punches, holes, or hits to them. They have been checked out for impedance. and are in great health. Again, they sound incredible. I ran these through a JBL Classic SA550 amp to verify sound. Cosmetically, these speaker present great. I think the cabinets are in much better shape than you traditionally will find. They arent hit or dinged up, and only have very minor scratches. No water damage. I think the bottoms look especially terrific for its age. These will present almost new on a shelf or on a stand. Stunning vintage pair here with great conditions all around. I used some stripper to remove scuffs to the wood and also re-oiled the speakers with Danish oil to bring out the finish. No bleaching or fading of the finish here! Flaws:I had to epoxy the pegs back on the front grills. Some pegs are missing, and the grills arent very secure, but do stay in-place. Grills are in OK shape, but are a bit dirty and the fabric is stressed near the corners. All normal for this age.There is some glue residue near some of the peg holders on one speaker... this is only visible under the right light. The previous owner apparently tried to glue the grills in-place... You can easily use a hairdryer and a plastic knife to scrap this off, but I didnt think it was even noticeable enough to attempt that.One JBL badge swivels... its adhesive has gone and it moves. It stays attached fine, it just moves some when twisted. Overall, very minor flaws... the pictures speak to how clean these still look. You will be very happy with these in your collection.
