Seltene Jamo Bassreflex 3 Wege Lautsprecher aus Senioren Erstbesitz von 1995 in schönem geprüftem Zustand. Original Verkaufsprospekt mit Anleitung und Preisliste ( NP 2.400,- DM) vorhanden. Der in Dänemark hergestellte Jamo 507 steht an der Spitze der neuen 07-Lautsprecherserie des Unternehmens. Dass es sich nicht um ein weiteres Me-too-Design handelt, ist sofort ersichtlich: Der 36 Zoll hohe und solide 42 Pfund schwere Lautsprecher hat Front- und Rückplatten, die nur 5 Zoll breit sind. Die gewölbten, mit Mahagoni veredelten Seiten geben dem Gehäuse eine maximale Breite von 8-3/4 Zoll, und eine 1/4 Zoll dicke Glasplatte deckt die Oberseite ab. Der Lautsprecher wird mit Spikes geliefert, deren Verwendung optional ist, aber von Jamo empfohlen wird. Für die Aufstellung auf harten Böden wie Holz oder Stein sind außerdem Gummifüße vorgesehen. Die Vorderseite ist mit einem zweiteiligen schwarzen Stoffgitter abgedeckt. Der untere Teil, der rein dekorativ ist, kann nicht abgenommen werden. Das obere Gitter, das durch kleine eingebaute Magnete an den Seiten gehalten wird, lässt sich leicht abnehmen und gibt den Blick auf zwei 4-Zoll-Konustreiber frei, die einen 1-Zoll-Weichkalotten-Hochtöner flankieren. Diese Treiber sind für Frequenzen oberhalb von 150 Hz zuständig, mit einer 3-kHz-Weiche zwischen ihnen. Der Bereich unterhalb von 150 Hz wird von einem Paar speziell entwickelter 6-1/2-Zoll-Konus-Tieftöner abgedeckt, die zwischen zwei Kammern innerhalb des Gehäuses montiert sind. Eine Kammer ist geschlossen, die andere strahlt durch einen Kanal an der Rückseite des Gehäuses in den Raum ab. Die beiden Tieftöner sind in einer Push-Pull-Anordnung montiert, die es ihnen laut Jamo ermöglicht, so zu arbeiten, als wären sie in einem viel größeren Gehäuse untergebracht. Ebenfalls auf der Rückseite des Gehäuses befindet sich ein versenktes Anschlussfeld mit zwei Paaren vergoldeter Polklemmen, die mit einfachen oder doppelten Bananensteckern, Kabelschuhen oder Kabelenden verwendet werden können. Sie sind normalerweise mit abnehmbaren Steckbrücken für den herkömmlichen Anschluss an den Verstärker verbunden. Werden die Steckbrücken entfernt, können der Bass- und der Hochtontreiber über separate Kabel von einem einzigen Stereoverstärker (Biwiring) oder von zwei separaten Verstärkern (Biamplification) gespeist werden. Jamo gibt das Modell 507 für den Betrieb mit einer Leistung von bis zu 150 Watt (200 Watt für kurzzeitige Spitzen) an. Seine Nennimpedanz beträgt 4 Ohm, sein Frequenzbereich 40 Hz bis 20 kHz. Wir haben die Raumresonanz der beiden Jamo 507 gemessen, wobei die Lautsprecher in einem Abstand von etwa einem Meter zur Wand hinter ihnen und einem Meter zu den Seitenwänden aufgestellt wurden. Jamo empfiehlt, die Rückseiten der Lautsprecher nahe an der Wand aufzustellen, um eine optimale Basswiedergabe zu erzielen, und weist darauf hin, dass die schmalen Frontplatten die Beugung der hohen Frequenzen minimieren, die Unregelmäßigkeiten im Frequenzgang verursachen könnte. Die durchschnittliche Raumresonanz der beiden Lautsprecher war über den größten Teil des Audiobereichs sehr gleichmäßig und gleichförmig. Der Frequenzgang des Tieftöners erstreckte sich über etwas mehr als eine Oktave, von etwa 40 bis 115 Hz, und fiel mit 24 dB pro Oktave unter 50 Hz und mit etwa 30 dB pro Oktave über 100 Hz ab. Der Ausgang der beiden Mitteltöner schloss sich dem Tieftönerausgang bei 110 Hz an, und ihr kombinierter Frequenzgang betrug +/-4 dB von 40 Hz bis 3 kHz. Der zusammengesetzte Frequenzgang des Systems, der auf Nahfeldmessungen der Tief- und Mitteltöner und der gesamten Raumresonanz aller Treiber basierte, war von 700 Hz bis 20 kHz flach mit einer Toleranz von +/- 2,5° dB und von 700 bis 46 Hz mit +/-1,8 g dB. Im 12- bis 16-kHz-Bereich gab es eine doppelte Spitze von 3 oder 4 dB, die wir später durch quasi-echoische MLS-Messungen bestätigten. Der Hochtöner hatte das für 1-Zoll-Kalottenstrahler typische gute Abstrahlverhalten im Hochtonbereich: Bei einem Winkel von 45 Grad zur Achse lag er bei 10 kHz um 6 dB und bei 20 kHz um 10 dB tiefer. Die Systemimpedanz fiel bei 120 Hz auf recht niedrige 2,6 Ohm, lag aber zwischen 100 Hz und 1 kHz im Durchschnitt bei 4 Ohm. Bei hohen Frequenzen stieg sie auf etwa 12,5 Ohm bei 20 kHz an. Wie bei den meisten anderen Multicavity-Bassstrahlern, die wir getestet haben, war die Phasenkomponente der Impedanzmessung unterhalb von etwa 250 Hz ausgefranst (wahrscheinlich ohne hörbare Bedeutung). Die Empfindlichkeit betrug, wie angegeben, 90 dB Schalldruckpegel (SPL) in 1 Meter Entfernung bei einem Eingangssignal von 2,83 Volt rosa Rauschen. Bei diesem Pegel lag die Verzerrung des Tieftöners zwischen 0,9 und 1,5 Prozent von 110 Hz bis 42 Hz, wobei sie bei 30 Hz auf 9 Prozent anstieg - eine beeindruckende Leistung für einen Lautsprecher mit der Treiberausstattung des Jamo 507. Die kleinen Treiber waren auch in der Lage, große kurzzeitige Leistungsspitzen ohne Schäden oder übermäßige Verzerrungen zu absorbieren. Die Hoch- und Mitteltöner wurden durch eintaktige Tonimpulse von 650 Watt bei 10 kHz und 1.050 Watt bei 1 kHz nicht beeinträchtigt. Ein 100-Hz-Burst mit 645 Watt brachte die Membranen der Tieftöner an ihre Grenzen und verlieh dem Klang eine harte Qualität, verursachte aber keine Schäden. Wie üblich haben wir uns die Jamo 507 vor den Messungen einige Zeit angehört. Ihre Sanftheit und ihr breites Spektrum waren vom ersten Moment an offensichtlich. Nach mehreren Tagen des Hörens waren die Messungen nicht allzu überraschend, sondern bestätigten lediglich die Vorzüge dieses unkonventionellen Lautsprechers. Es war interessant, die Seiten des Gehäuses zu fühlen, während es tiefe Frequenzen reproduzierte. Als wir einen 31,5-Hz-Testton bei raumfüllendem Pegel abspielten, war an der Außenseite des Gehäuses kaum eine Spur von Vibration zu spüren, und dennoch wurde offensichtlich hauptsächlich der Grundton und nicht dessen Obertöne wiedergegeben - etwas, was man bei einem Paar 6-Zoll-Membranen normalerweise nicht erlebt. Laut Jamo bestehen die Seiten des Gehäuses aus einem Sandwich aus gerillten Spanplatten und herkömmlichen mitteldichten Faserplatten (MDF). Wenn die beiden Platten miteinander verleimt werden, bilden sie eine bogenförmige, extrem steife Struktur mit gut gedämpften Resonanzen. Wie unser Hörtest bestätigte, führt dies zu einem toten Gehäuse mit einem Minimum an Klangverfärbungen. Im Laufe der Jahre habe ich eine ganze Reihe unkonventioneller, innovativ konzipierter und konstruierter Lautsprecher gesehen, gehört und manchmal auch getestet. Leider stand ihre Klangqualität nur selten im Einklang mit ihren besonderen Merkmalen oder mit ihren oft hohen Preisen.
