The Sterling-series Video held two 5¼” mid/bass drivers crossing over to a ½” (12mm) dome tweeter at 4.5kHz and 150 watts max input. The tweeter they used is nominally 8 ohm-rated while the woofers are cumulatively 8? as series-wired in the Sterling Video. So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this useful Infinity crossover should be yours. This Infinity crossover network is in clean, excellent condition. The black plastic faceplate has no cracks or scratches and measures just under 3” diameter. Plus, it features a complement of quality capacitors, resistors, inductors, and was tested as working before the speaker was dismantled. Also, the spring tab terminals actuate smoothly and hold speaker cable very tight. And, I’ve neatly separated the wires in pairs with wire ties, including the loose green one for series-wiring (woofer 1 - to woofer 2 +), for the new owner’s convenience. Offered for your consideration is a vintage pair of Infinity three-way crossover networks with mid and high-range attenuators removed from my Reference Standard 4001 speakers, manufactured c.1991. The RS3000 are great-sounding speakers that use 8” graphite cone woofers (6?) crossed-over to 2” dome midrange drivers (4?) and ¾” dome tweeters (6?) at 600Hz and 4kHz, respectively. Please take a look at my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if these superb Infinity dividing networks are correct for your needs. This pair of Infinity RS4001 crossovers is in clean, excellent condition. The sturdy plastic faceplates have no cracks, scratches, or even scuffs. Plus, the crossovers are constructed with a heavily-wound copper inductor, large capacitors, resistors, thick driver wiring, and potentiometers for midrange and tweeter level adjustment. And I’ve neatly separated the wires, binding them in pairs with ties, for the new owner’s convenience upon delivery. Overall, these crossovers are exceptionally well preserved. Most importantly, they were tested in the factory cabinets and function perfectly. The RS4001 are rated to 125 watts power handling and a frequency range of 44Hz to 22kHz at a nominally-rated 6 ohm load. Lastly, the faceplates measure 5?” wide by 4½” tall, they go about 3½” deep into the cabinets, and the mounting holes are spaced 5¼” long way / 4” short-way apart, c-t-c. These are a nice find for someone with RS4001’s that have a damaged input terminal(s) or crossover component. Theyre also ready for action in a three-way speaker-building project with the suitable drivers of your choice!
