For sale a Infinity model Black Widow tonearm in very good condition. The tonearm in good working order, the bearings are good and tonearm moves freely in both directions. Tonearm comes with output cable. One of the most elegantly simple, knife edge vertical hinge, Carbon fiber, straight (phew) tonearms made! Also one of the lightest! Designed for high and extreme high compliance cartridge, yet with minor mods it can be adjusted for mid and lower compliance cartridges as well. These arms are easily adjustable for proper cartridge set-up with tracking force, overhang, VTA or SRA, Azimuth, etc. For mid and lower compliance cartridges, the tonearm mass could be easily increased by adding weights to the center hole of the cartridge mount and inserting weights into the hollow tracking force adjustment tube at the back end of the arm for proper balancing. Anti-skating is accurate when the arm and cartridge are set up properly. An extremely versatile and excellent overall performing tonearm with amazing adjust-ability given its very simple design. The Black Widow is a renowned tonearm for high compliance cartridges and has been one of audiophiles favorite tonearms since it was introduced in 1976. It is in excellent cosmetic condition and the tonearm lift does work. It has the original counterweight but the cable is long gone so I am including a MONSTER CABLE Standard SV1 DIN to RCA phono cable. I will include a used ADC XLM MKII Improved cartridge with stylus and guard for $100.00 extra. Just let me know that you want it and Ill add it to the invoice. Selling my Infinity Black Widow tonearm which is in excellent condition. Only very minor marks on the mounting plate near the screws. Rear counterweight rod does not sag like many other examples of these do, and the arm rod is pristine. Original counterweight is shiny as all hell. Recently rewired by previous owner - I believe its Cardas though I dont remember for sure (bonus points if you can identify the tonearm cable)! Either way, cable is very sturdy and clearly high quality.Reason for selling is that I wanted to move towards lower compliance cartridges and so I changed my arm. Have been using this on my TD125 (pictured) with an AT VM740ML, Stanton 681EEE, and Shure V15 to great success. I dont have original box but will pack carefully to preserve the arm wand, double-boxed, the works.
