A Pair of IMF Fried Beta IV Bookshelf Speakers. Seldom seen. Bought these new about 30 years ago from a high-end shop in Boston. I listened (auditioned as the salesman said) for about 5 minutes to some nice jazz while sitting in a good chair. Salesman talked about soundstage, detail, imaging, etc; the usual. Hooked them up at home in my modest audio room. He was right. Had listened to Advent, KLH, Dahlquist, AR, the usual. These sounded better. Solidly built, not the usual. After a few years, I moved on to something bigger. Had more presence due to volume and more bass, but not as good. They are about 9x9x11 and weigh about 11.5 lbs each. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SURROUNDS ON BOTH WOOFERS NEED TO BE REPLACED. Cabinets are in good shape, but there are nicks and scuffs and some scratches as you can see in the pictures.I played them at low level and tweeters sound OK, but obviously not much bass. The woofer cones are still centered and they play, but again was at low volume. This is for someone who is technically knowledgeable and wants to restore these. Non-smoking household. Sold as pictured, but otherwise as-is. If you pick them up by appointment, I will refund $29 of purchase price. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks.

KEF B139 / 6171 Bass Drive Speaker Early K2 Concord Celeste Radford EMF. Bought for a project back but havent got the time to finish. Looks like a black paint finish. It works absolutely fine.

Original versions of the TLS50 Transmission line loudspeaker from IMF. Good working order. Mirror image cabinets and new grills have been professionally made. The cabinets are in very good order, but there is an imperfection to the rear of the speaker (see photo - cannot be seen when speakers are in position). 8? woofer, 4? mid, Audax 12 x 8 tweeter, Coles super tweeter – all correct original spec drivers – no incorrect replacements. The speaker sound sweet and with great bass extension. Collection only from Liverpool.

Vintage IMF Super Compact Studio Speakers. They were purchased and owned by my grandfather, who passed them on to me when he died. Some cosmetic scuffs as seen in the photos but fully working.

Kef B110 based IMF style Transmission Line Speakers Coles 4001 Audax. See pictures very old kit or home built speakers. Taken on as a project but now don’t have time to complete. Floor standers 3 ft tall. B110 drivers measure 8ohms see photographs. Needs some restoration on cabinets or simply play as they are. The mids have been re-foamed correctly with the foam from Holland which is the proper stuff to the original. Anyone that knows these speakers the foam around the mids in particular seem to perish. The cabinets could be done with a tidy up which I had full intention of doing. but other than that these sound brilliant! It will be sad to see them go. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
