Castle Howard S2 Speakers On offer here are a superb pair of the highly acclaimed and extremely desirable multi award winning Castle Acoustics Howard S2 Loudspeakers. Having had minimal use they are in superb condition and are probably as close to immaculate as you will find. They do look and sound superb and must be the finest pair of Howard S2s currently available anywhere. All Drive Units are functioning perfectly. They have always been used with the Grilles in place, so some of the usual fading to the cabinets is present, but this is perfectly normal. I have had numerous pairs of Speakers in my system over the years, including some expensive mistakes but have always returned to the Howards. They really are exceptional. Im at a point now where I simply fancy a change, but the cost of matching or bettering the Howards in todays market would cost several thousand pounds, hence the enforced sale of the Howards. Even as I am typing I fear that I will probably regret selling them, but I have decided to take the plunge, so my loss will be some lucky bidders gain! They are of course Bi-wireable, although upgraded Naim shorting links are installed should this not be required. As we have come to expect from this generation of Castle Speakers, both build and sound quality are exceptional at this price level and they would grace any quality Audio system. Indeed many still believe that they are the finest speakers ever produced by Castle Acoustics. Due to their size and weight I have listed them for collection only but may be able to deliver within reasonable distance or dependent on distance meet the buyer at a midway point, but please contact me before purchasing just to confirm that this will be possible. Castle Howard Transmission line Oak Speakers Fantastic sounding top-of-the-line English speakers. Very rare and not to be confused with lesser models such as the castle severn 2 (I have these too and there is no comparison). Plays all type music with grip, space and definition. Plays well with small and big amplifiers. The common fault of the woofer cone de-bonding from the spider mount was repaired 2 years ago on all four woofers. They are in perfect working condition. The cabinets are oak and they were refinished by the previous owner. They will need touching up to make mint - refer to pictures. More can be supplied on request. Theres a few tiny holes in the material of the top woofer covers. Strictly collection only due to their size
