I am offering a Custom Built pair of Planar Magnetic Headphones, comprised of East German HOK 80 Drivers, mounted on West German Grundig GDHS 217 Capsules and whole Headband structure, made of extremely high quality Metal and Plastics. The Ear Pads, which are On-Ear, are also Custom made of Real Sheepskin. Fitted with a 1980s Sennheiser Steel cable, terminated on a XLR-4 Plug for Balanced Operation. In excellent cosmetic condition overall and technically flawless. Their overall signature is a little dark, yet capable of expressive, rich Midrange response and smooth yet detailed High frequencies. The Bass regions are fulsome and impactful. It also responds well to EQ. With a 60 Ohm impedance and lowly sensitivity (think HIFIMAN HE-6), a Good, powerful Desktop Amp - preferably Balanced - is mandatory as they require a generous Current capability and decent voltage swing. Another good alternative would be to feed it off the Speaker Taps of a good Integrated/Power Speaker Amp.
