Powers on, accepts a tape. Pretends to play, but no video output. Showing message it need cleaning cassette Will also rewind and fast forward. JVC HM-DH30000U Digital VHS VCR DTheater D-VHS SVHS VCR.  Difficult to find DVHS player/recorder.  Some scratches and scuffs to the top of the unit but otherwise good cosmetic condition. It includes a remote that I don't believe is the original but does seem to work well and I was able to get to all of the functions needed including the menus. It’s very similar to the original remote but there is no jog wheel. Just something to note when considering a purchase. We've also included composite cables for video connection. You can use these for component connection as well if you want, the connector is the same. This is not the HDMI model. No firewire cable and no batteries included.  Testing: We only have the ability to test the VCR portion on a standard definition television. This function worked great and no issues were found with any function of playing a VHS tape. DVHS uses the same mechanical components. Note that the pictures are of the items that you will receive.
