This item has been tested and is in working condition. Hook to amp and tested this cassette deck and John Denver sounded pretty good. This item is a cassette recorder as well as a cassette player. This item is in good use working condition with no major issues, there is slight cosmetic issues due to its age and storage. ( back of unit is chipped a bit.)
