Up for sale is a Linn / Hiquphon 3/4 soft dome tweeter in good working order that was pulled from a Linn Nexus LS 250 speaker during a tweeter refresh. These are fantastic tweeters that are a challenge to find. Works great, with some scuffing on the mounting plate but zero damage to the dome or magnet. Hiquphon Tweeter OW2 OW Ferrofluid Fried Products Loudspeaker Audiophile. World class tweeter that is VERY expensive. Pulled from a Fried loudspeaker. Not sure if it actually works or not. Hooked it up and couldn’t get sound but it could just be a simple soldering issue and I don’t have a solder sucker to test further. It could just be a cold solder joint. Linn Nexus with new Hiquphon OW1-92 tweeters fitted last year, including ku-stone stands. http://www.audioreview.com/product/speakers/floorstanding-speakers/linn/nexus.html I have had these for a few years, coupled with a pair of Linn LK amps in a passive bi-wire setup. About 1 year ago I got in touch with Oskar at Hiquphon and ordered a pair of OW1-92 tweeters because I sensed that the original ones (one of them at least) was not as good as it should have been. I did the replacement, and a great improvement. Rubbers/seals on the woofers are good. I have the covers and usually use these with the speakers, although the rubber on them has long-failed so I just a rubber rope around the covers to hold them in place - they are mainly not visible and hold the covers in place perfectly. Cosmetically the speakers are in very good condition with the sole exception of a small patch of paint flaking off the front of one of the stands. Original boxes included. Happy to demonstrate if local pickup or can ship if required. Domestic freight rate calculated using Pack & Send. For International freight contact me for an exact quote.
