Möglich wird dies durch die Verwendung der extrem kräftigen, halbrunden Neodym-Magneten aus dem derzeitigen Flaggschiff-Magnetostaten Susvara. Deren besondere Formgebung bringt nicht nur den Wirkungsgrad nach oben, sondern lässt durch verminderte Beugungseffekte das Klangbild noch offener und dynamischer erscheinen. Gleichzeitig verwendet der HE1000se eine nochmal dünnere Membran als der HE1000V2.Auch optisch gibt es ein paar Veränderungen: Die Holzseitenteile aus Echtholzfurnier bestehen jetzt aus Makassar-Ebenholz und das Kopfband ist nicht mehr braun, sondern schwarz.
