These excellent speakers have worn well. If you examine the speaker photos you should be able to see that on the left hand speaker one of the grill mounts is broke./missing. This does not affect the mounting of the grilles. Otherwise the speakers, and in particular, the cabinets, are in excellent condition.Regarding the sound, the bass is very subject to positioning...as you can see, both my speakers are located well away from a wall or corner. However, the bass is clear and well defined. No buzzing, vibrations or other peculiarities. The treble is very good, not sharp yet still detailed. I play these speakers via a DIY pre-amplifier with tone controls and variable turnover points, so adjustment, here at least, is quite easy. Lifting up from the ground would be beneficial but unfortunately I cannot supply stands. I strongly recommend a demonstration, and since I dont want to deliver these speakers, a demonstration would be essential. I am using 200 watt Hypex NCore digital power amplifiers.

I also havent used these since the late 90s at that time I had them paired with Quad 34/306 an absolutely stunning sound.Today I paired them to a NAD 3020 and they sounded wonderful. Although a little tired looking they sound great.Collection only from Maidstone Kent and UK bidders only..

Heybrook HB2 speakers Owned by me from new in the early 1980s. Not used for many years but still work well and look good. I replaced one of the mid/bass drivers after the cone surround of the original driver became detached. The replacement driver is a different make/model to the original but sounds fine. I also made a preventative repair on the other mid/bass driver by glueing the cone surround to prevent it detaching. The Heybrook HB2 much admired design is perhaps a little odd in mounting the drivers in front of the baffle thus providing little support for the cone surround. The two mesh dome tweeters have survived without any dents or damage and still sound good. There are no foam covers to go on the front of the units, they fell apart many years ago. However Im convinced that the speakers sound better without them. The velcro strips used to secure the foam covers originally are intact but detached in several places. The wood veneer on both speakers is in good condition and of acceptable colour with only a few shallow scratches on the undersides of the units, and minor damage to four of the eight rear corners. The speakers weigh about 9 Kg each and are about 16 high, 9 wide and 8 deep. The speakers still feel reassuringly solid. Ive given both speakers a good dust, and polished the veneer. COLLECTION ONLY

Selling my 1991 Heybrook HB1 (mk3?) loudspeakers. Last used and working in 2011. Size is H47cm, W29cm & D22cm / 23cm with grills. Each speaker weighs 9kg. I seem to remember theyre rated at 75 W per channel at 8 Ohms impedance, youd imagine that would be stated in the included instruction manual. Bi-wireable. Cabinets and grills in great condition but foam surround of bass driver / woofers have disintegrated. I bought some replacement foams on ebay but wasnt impressed with my attempts to fix one, so the other foam is unused. I believe you can still buy the Vifa m-21 drivers new? Switched to floorstanding type when I rearranged my listening room. Needs a little TLC! Buyer collects is preferable due to size and weight, but Ive added Parcelforce Express 48 service for £15.
