Description
I upgraded all 6 power supply caps, which improved the sound quality and will increase the longevity of this amp. This amp desiged by John Curl is known for good sonics and offers 6 channels of 80W/120W into 8/4 Ohms plus a few dB of headroom. Two pairs of channels can be bridged to provide 240W into 8 Ohms. The PS uses a large 1.2kVA transformer and 90kuF of capacitance. Input is class-A. You can find more details online. This is a very nice sounding audiophile grade amplifier, that will really make your music sing! This is an excellent amp. Im selling this very nice amp, because I replaced it with an even nicer amp, designed by Mark Levinson, the Proceed HP3. I was going to hang on to it, because I really like this amp and I hate to see it go, but the way the economy is...my loss is your gain!!! I have this amp listed on eBay, Audiogon, Facebook Market place and on Craigs list, so dont miss out, before its gone! Included remote turn on for Preamp. This is a very nice sounding 6 channel amp. This is a great Home Theater amp, but plays music very nice as well. I had an older Adcom amplifier. I had built a pair of Troels Gravenson Nomex 164 speakers, and I did not like the way they sounded at all. Someone suggested I try a different amplifier, and thats how I ended up with the Parasound, and it was a night and day difference. I was pleasantly surprised. It puts out very nice 80 watts into 8 Ohms 120 into 4 Ohms per channel. This is a well built amp, and heavy weighing almost 50 lbs.
