excellent working vintage amplifier. needs a little cleaning but is in very good condition. this amp comes with its original box that has all the build instructions, as well as a performance test. the test performed by Marantz shows it puts out 72w on the left and 70w on the right at 8 ohms. there is even the original desiccant bag in the box.

Harman / Kardon’s previous amplifiers had been tube designs, and the original Citation twelve was the company’s first transistorized power amplifier. The Citation twelve’s relatively modern design was based on a design suggestion published in the RCA Solid State Handbook.The Citation twelve deluxe features many of Harman / Kardon’s trademark design choices. On the one hand, it was one of the first truly dual-mono design amplifiers, featuring two transformers, two power supplies, as well as two separate amplifier circuits. Some of the control can get cracking noise in the output. I think thats because of the poor and aged electric contacts on this amp. The amp appears to be all original; no mods. Physical condition is good for the age, with typical wear and scratches. Nothing really serious. The amp is quite heavy for the compact footprint. Ill pack well and ship worldwide.
