Er musste schwache oder weit entfernte Stationen in dünn besiedelten Gebieten aufnehmen, aber in großen Ballungsräumen zwischen benachbarten Stationen unterscheiden. Der TU610 verfügt außerdem über spezielle Funktionen, die dazu beitragen, den Empfang von schwächeren Sendern zu verbessern, bei denen normalerweise statische Aufladung stören würde. Zunächst hilft Ihnen eine Signalstärkeanzeige mit fünf LEDs bei der präzisen Abstimmung. Wenn die statische Aufladung immer noch ein Problem darstellt, kann die High-Blend-Schaltung aktiviert werden, um hohe Frequenzen vom linken und rechten Kanal zu überblenden, wodurch eine erhebliche Menge an Rauschen eliminiert wird.
