Harman Kardon HK825 Stereo Preamplifier in very good condition and working order. It has some light scuffs on the top cover and minor dings on the front panel. The preamp has been serviced and partially recapped, its phono relay switches disassembled and cleaned. All functions work properly but being vintage electronics, the preamp is sold as is with no return or warranty. Nearly 40 capacitors replaced with audio grade Nichicon and Elna Silmics.

HARMAN KARDON HK825 Preamplifier Preamp Tested & Works Great. No Issue.

Original owner. Excellent condition. This is a preamp, not a power amplifier. eBay does not have a “preamp” option for type. This and a matching HK870 (in a separate auction) were my college graduation present in 1986. The unit works perfectly. The sound is excellent. Only selling because I don’t use it anymore. I have a video of the unit working that I can send. The HK825 has a protection circuit that delays for anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds when you first turn it on. My unit has a delay in this range. I have the original owners manual, but not the original box. Buyer pays $30 shipping. I have been stung by eBay’s calculation of shipping in the past and will not be bound by their calculation. I am setting this shipping cost at $30. Lower 48 residential shipping only.
