Vintage Harman Kardon HK590i Stereo Receiver w/ phono Beautiful H/K stereo receiver, just serviced and working perfectly. All functions and buttons work properly, including phono input. Sound is rich and smooth, classic H/K. Made in Japan in 1986. Please see the last photo for full specs. This unit has just been fully serviced and all old leakage-prone capacitors in main amp, VR and phono PCBs replaced with fresh audio-grade Nichicon and Panasonic parts. Both sets of differential transistors were replaced with brand new hFE-matched pairs to minimize distortion. A pair of burned out output transistors in the right channel was replaced with brand new identical parts (Toshiba pair). All pots treated with de-Oxit (no scratchy controls!). Solder joints refreshed as needed, bias current and DC offset set to spec. Cosmetically about 9/10 - very few signs of use, no major dents or scratches - please see photos. NOTE: One tiny AM/FM tuned signal LED is not lighting up. All other signal LEDs are working properly, including signal strength and stereo. This has no effect whatsoever on receiver performance. Factory AM bar antenna is not included.
