BARITONE is a vacuum tube buffer designed to warm up your digital audio, hand-built by Jim Hagerman in Honolulu, Hawaii. The 12AU7 operates at proper high voltage delivering huge headroom and low distortion. There are no op-amps in the audio circuit. Add that tube magic and impart a vintage feel to your tone! This works well with any DAC. Excellent condition and includes power supply, instructions, and a few lightly used 12AU7 tubes. The boxed Tung Sol 12AU7 is unused. There is a GE 5814A, RCA black plate tri-mica 5814A, RCA clear top 12AU7, Mullard and Tung Sol 12AU7. Classic vintage MM phono stage built from a kit with many upgrades including solid beautiful case and boutique high end capacitors - Mundorf Supreme and Vitamin Q. Input jacks are closest to the ground lug but are the same color, output jacks are closest to the outer corner. The upper one has some scratches on the ground collar but works normally. Rectifier tube is a military 6106 sub for a 5Y3, that alone was $100 NOS last year. The rest of the tubes are Russian, I kept the Tefefunkens and Mallard I had in it for use elsewhere. AC is captive, with ground pin.Works perfectly, sounds rich and detailed. Responds well to vintage tube rolling.Much better than Hagermans latest offerings and almost any SS phono stage.The brass cone you see on the top plate was installed by the builder to cancel micro vibrations in the top plate near the rectifier., Like the rest of it, it attests to his perfectionism.I have an integrated preamp with phono stage now so this needs a new home.Ships to continental US only please
