Grace G-707 Quad Master Stereo Tonearm for Turntable Record Player LP. Good Condition. Wires were Cut and Reconnected. Armlift Not Stay Up But Not Really Issue.

Selling my REGA Planar 2 turntable. It is outfitted with a Grace G-707 tonearm and Shure M97xE cartridge. This turntable works and produces a wonderful sound, however Im selling it AS-IS for the following reasons. The table can be a little slow at achieving speed (not uncommon) so I will often give it a little push to assist. There is a crack in the bracket that holds the arm lifter in place, so you have to lower and raise the arm by hand. If you choose, this could probably be repaired with a bit of glue or simply replaced (easy fix).Missing 1 of 4 screws that holds the lid in place. Still works though.Despite the above issues, this turntable is perfect for anyone looking to get into vinyl. The tonearm is legendary and has brought me years of joy. The legendary vintage ultra-light tonearm designed in golden age of vinyls, was once part of the de-facto tonearm of legendary deck LP12 back in 70S. In perfect working order, bearing is smooth, cosmetically very new, shiny and perfect. Bought used from Japan sometimes ago to go with my LP12+Grace/Supex cartridges, but plan changed, moved to vintage Linn cartridges and the set becomes a surplus. Comes with original tonearm cable and arm rest. Well packed and ready to ship worldwide from Hong Kong. Grace G-707 tonearm for parts or repair. I was rewiring this tonearm and 4 small bearings fell out. I did not want to do any further damage to it so I buttoned it back up and am listing it here. The good news is that I have the bearings which will be included and the new wires are in place. This just needs someone with a little more skill to get it back up and running. I am also including an rca cable that will need to be soldered back on. I am selling this unit for parts or repair and will not accept any refunds. Very good condition. Tested. Working. It sounds great. New rega brand belt. The dust cover has some scratches and very faint paint splatters. The cantilever looks like it is slightly bent to me. High output Moving coil Cartridge. It sounded pretty balanced when I played it. 33 rpm records sound perfect, but If you try to play 45 rpm records, they sound too fast. Very low noise floor on the turn table.

I had been using this fantastic arm for some years on a custom-built turntable when I decided to upgrade the internal cabling from the old original stuff. In the process I managed to lose one of the bearings that is fitted into the side of the arm tube and no-way to get this repaired in New Zealand. Other than the arm-tube bearing cup everythng is there and working perfectly mechanically. Please see images.
