Grace 747/727 Headshell with Shure M91E Cartridge. Excellent.Stylus hours unknown but looks great under scope and plays nice.

This offering is a rare Grace-747 tonearm with the mounted Astatic MF-200 cartridge. Here is info on the arm from the manufacturer: The Grace G-747 uses a lightweight, straight pipe design with all the robust characteristics of the 6mm diameter alloy pipe utilised on the earlier G-707 model retained, with a new process for additional rigidity.The plug-in headshell which has succeeded in eliminating the dead mass found in many types of European headshell connectors.The headshell itself is composed of specially hard-processed 2mm thick aluminium alloy.The pivot points incorporate ultra-high precision micro bearings which have been finished to an extremely fine degree of tolerance.The arm support system of the G-747 is by a proven gimbal support system, similar to the types utilised in aeronautical gyroscopic equipment - because its vertical and horizontal parts all move under identical conditions, this system is ideal for stereo discs.SpecificationsOverall length: 293-321mmEffective length: 237mmAngle of rotation: approx 80 degreesOverhang: 15mmBalance system: static balanceTracking force adjustment: rotary, 0.1g stepsOutput cable: plug-in system, moulded typeHead connector: plug-in system, lightweight headshell (approx 6g) The tone arm is fitted with an Astatic MF-200 moving flux magnetic cartridge. The MF 200 is described as an uncommonly fine phono cartridgein a Hi-Fi Classic review. If you like the “airiness” or definition that results from a rising high-end response, you will surely like the sound of the MF 200. The cartridge is equipped with Shibata type parabolic stylus. The stylus is rated to track at 1.75 grams ±0.25 gram, and it has a rated frequency response of 10 to 20,000 FIz ±2.2 dB. The user-replaceable stylus assembly includes a hinged guard. It was in an operating system so I believe the stylus to be good. However, I do not know the extent of use on the cartridge and I do not have a lens to inspect it so I will not warrant the condition of the stylus. This arm is used. It is currently mounted on a turntable that is too large and fragile for me to ship. I will include the 5 diameter metal plate it currently sits on. It also has an Audio-Technica AT6006a end-of-record safety tonearm raiser that is included. It is a $100 value by itself.I warrant these items to be as described when you receive them. Here is a nice condition grace g-747. It comes with the DIN Cable MOUNTING HARDWARE and EXTRA COUNTERWEIGHT FOR HEAVIER MC CARTRIDGES IT has a removeable headshell for easy cartridge changing. I may have the original box for it as well. If I find it I will send it along. This is a very nice arm The arm cable uses silver plated copper wire. Here is an extra Grace 747 headshell I found and 3 extra counterweights for using heavier Moving Coil cartridges with the arm. Grace 747 tonearm SN0245 complete. The lifter mech. is missing the bottom and will need to be replaced. Includes mounting base and RCA cables with din plug. Cartridge will be removed. Sold without cartridge.

This is part of my departed, friends estate. Sold as is, as shown. The diamond stylus tip is missing from the cartridge.
