Ive had this Geshelli J2 DAC for about 2 years. Unit is a factory build with no mods, using the AKM4493 chipset. Unit works perfectly. Its housed in an aluminum case, has the clear front and back panels, and the finish is Mist which is a glossy blue with metallic flakes in it. Unit comes with external power supply wall warts and comes in its original box. Im selling due to the fact that I now have a streamer with a built in DAC that Im happy with, so this piece has gotten redundant for me. DAC is less than 3 months old in pristine condition.I tried it out with Sparkos 2590, Sparkos 3602 and Burson V7 Pro, and the most organic sound was with the Burson V7 Classic.Compared to the Sparkos, the Burson Classic has a more neutral presentation, the bass is better defined and had a bit more mid-bass.Both Sparkos OpAmps sounded thin in my setup which has a pair of KEF speakers.Due to the AK4499 chip, the DAC has very good sound stage depth, very comparable with Chord Mojo 2, but not as incisive as that one. I also tried a Gustard R26 which I returned because to my ears in my setup, the JNOG2S sounded better. LOVE LOVE LOVE this dac. Its so amazing. Selling it because Im saving up for the Dayzee. This is an incredible dac. I have the J3 on my desk and its is VERY hard to hear the difference between this and upgraded version the J3. This is the USB version. This is the high end AKM4499 version. It has the TI OPA1656 opamps on the XLR outputs and the incredible Sparkos SS3602 opamp on the RCA output. I paid extra for the taller aluminum case so I could fit larger dual op amps for even more op amp rolling fun. Comes with an upgraded 12v linear power supply with 2x optputs. If you want to, you could get one of the Geshelli headphone amps and plug it in the linear power supply with this dac. Thats what I did. I had that exact setup on my desk. Also comes with the original power supply. I am the first owner. Im guessing I have had it for about 2ish years. I do not have the original box. This is an amazing dac that you can op amp roll with to literally find the exact sound you love. If you have not hear it yet, all the rumors of it are true.
